Week 17, June 4-10, 2018

This week was a MODX Meetup week. Mark Hamstra organized a Dutch MODX Meetup and a status report was shared about MODX3. We're sharing the slides of all the progress we made during the project.

You can find Gauke Pieter's slides on slides.com, or by clicking through it in this embedded version:

You'll also see some nice mockups of what is to come. We'll share new mockups of the MODX3 manager UI this week, which should be the last design iterations of MODX 3.0. The focus of the project and the community should be on testing for now.

Tabs or Rows?

We did a poll on tabs or rows in the tree last week. Clear results: 81% in favor of Tabs!

Testing

Testing is progressing slowly, with only a handful of people doing the testing right now. We need more testers! Gauke Pieter made a screencast to help you understand the magical world of testing pull requests on Github for MODX.

Donate!

While the donations started off really good, they are stalling right now. We would like to remind everybody who didn't sponsor or donate yet to do so fast. The budget is still €20.000+ short and extra funding will make it easier to complete the project in the way we want to! Donate here.

Photo Contest

We need photos for our new login screen. Four photos to be precise: winter, spring, summer en autumn. For this, we are doing a MODX3 Photo Contest! Photo Contest.
